Kunsan National University participated in the 2026 Study in Korea Fair in Uzbekistan, held October 23–24 at the Korean Education Center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. During the event, the university promoted its academic programs and provided local students with information on studying in Korea.
The fair brought together 44 Korean universities, including Kunsan National University, along with 12 companies and six public institutions. Participating organizations provided young people in Uzbekistan with information on educational opportunities and employment prospects in Korea while promoting their respective strengths and competitive advantages.

In addition, an online study-abroad information session for students living in regional areas of Uzbekistan and an exchange program for education officials from both countries were held as part of the event. These initiatives helped improve access to information about studying in Korea and laid the groundwork for expanded cooperation in education between the two countries.
With the global spread of K-culture, interest in learning Korean and pursuing higher education in Korea has been growing in Uzbekistan. In particular, local students interested in a wide range of academic disciplines and specialized, advanced curricula attended the fair, demonstrating strong interest in pursuing their studies at Korean universities.
Through its participation in the fair, Kunsan National University focused on introducing local students to the diverse opportunities available for studying in Korea and expanding the potential for international educational exchange.
The university also expects the event to promote exchanges between the two countries in education and industry, while helping connect the educational strengths of Korean universities with the talent needs of companies. This, in turn, is expected to lay a foundation for developing and attracting outstanding global talent.
Going forward, Kunsan National University plans to continue providing international students with diverse educational opportunities and expanding its international cooperation network. The university also aims to strengthen its global competitiveness by attracting talented students from around the world and providing them with systematic educational support.
국립군산대학교는 지난 10월 23일부터 24일까지 우즈베키스탄 타슈켄트 한국교육원에서 개최된 「2026 우즈베키스탄 한국유학박람회」에 참가해 현지 학생들을 대상으로 대학 홍보와 한국 유학 정보 제공에 나섰다.
이번 박람회에는 국립군산대학교를 비롯한 국내 대학 44개교와 기업 12곳, 공공기관 6곳이 참여해 우즈베키스탄 청년들에게 한국의 교육 및 취업 관련 정보를 제공하고 각 기관의 경쟁력을 홍보했다.
아울러 우즈베키스탄 지방 거주 학생들을 위한 온라인 유학설명회와 양국 교육 관계자 간 교류 프로그램도 함께 운영돼 한국 유학에 대한 접근성을 높이고 교육 분야 협력 기반을 확대하는 계기를 마련했다.
최근 K-컬처의 세계적인 확산과 함께 우즈베키스탄 내 한국어 학습 및 한국 유학에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 특히 다양한 전공 분야와 전문적이고 심화된 교육과정에 관심을 가진 현지 학생들이 박람회에 참여해 한국 대학 진학에 대한 높은 관심을 보였다.
국립군산대학교는 이번 박람회 참가를 통해 현지 학생들에게 한국 유학의 다양한 기회를 알리고, 국제 교육 교류의 가능성을 넓히는 데 주력했다.
또한 이번 행사가 양국의 교육·산업 분야 교류를 활성화하고, 한국 대학의 교육 역량과 기업의 인재 수요를 연결해 우수한 글로벌 인재를 양성·확보하는 기반이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
국립군산대학교는 앞으로도 해외 학생들에게 다양한 교육 기회를 제공하고 국제교류 협력 기반을 확대해 나가는 한편, 글로벌 인재 유치와 체계적인 교육 지원을 통해 대학의 국제 경쟁력을 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
