Kunsan National University Expands Educational Cooperation with Zhenjiang Higher Vocational Technical School
- Discussions Focus on Transfer Admissions, Student and Faculty Exchanges, and a Winter Camp Program
Kunsan National University discussed ways to expand educational cooperation with Zhenjiang Higher Vocational Technical School during a visit by a four-member delegation led by Vice President Zhu Junhu (朱俊虎) from October 27 to 29, 2026.
During a meeting with Kunsan National University President Kim Kang-ju on October 28, the two institutions reviewed the progress made since signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in 2025 and discussed expanding cooperation beyond student exchanges to include faculty exchanges and joint educational programs. The President expressed his hope that the two institutions would build on their respective educational strengths to achieve meaningful outcomes through continued cooperation.
The two institutions currently operate a Korean-language and culture-focused international class in China based on the Digital Media Department. Fifteen students participated in each of the 2025 and 2026 programs, taking major-related courses alongside 12 hours of Korean language classes per week. In September 2026, three graduates of Zhenjiang Higher Vocational Technical School transferred to the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Kunsan National University, marking a tangible achievement in the partnership.
At a working-level meeting held at the Institute of International Affairs & Language Education on the afternoon of October 28, the two institutions discussed expanding undergraduate freshman and transfer admissions, establishing student exchange programs, supporting faculty members from China in pursuing graduate studies at Kunsan National University, and organizing a winter camp for 30 students from the international class during the 2026 winter vacation.
The visit provided an opportunity to build on the achievements of the existing international class and transfer admission programs and further broaden cooperation between the two institutions. Kunsan National University plans to continue strengthening partnerships with overseas educational institutions, expand international student recruitment, and diversify its international education programs.

국립군산대학교는 지난 10월 27일부터 29일까지 중국 쩐쟝고등직업기술학교 부총장 주쥔후(朱俊虎) 등 대표단 4명의 방문을 계기로 양교 간 국제교육 협력 확대 방안을 논의했다.
10월 28일 진행된 총장(김강주) 접견에서는 2025년 업무협약(MOA) 체결 이후의 교류 성과를 공유하고, 학생교류를 넘어 교원교류와 교육 프로그램 운영 등으로 협력 범위를 확대하는 방안을 논의했다. 총장은 양교의 교육 역량을 바탕으로 실질적인 협력 성과를 창출하기를 기대한다고 전했다.
같은 날 오후 국제교류교육원에서 열린 실무 간담회에서는 ▲중국 직업기술교육기관 졸업생의 학부 신입학 및 편입학 확대 ▲교환학생 프로그램 운영 ▲중국 현지 교원의 대학원 진학 ▲2026학년도 동계방학 중 국제반 학생 30명 대상 동계캠프 운영 등을 논의했다.
이번 방문은 기존 국제반 운영과 편입학 성과를 바탕으로 양교 간 협력을 확대하는 계기가 됐다. 국립군산대학교는 앞으로도 해외 교육기관과의 교류를 강화하고, 외국인 유학생 유치와 국제교육 프로그램 다변화를 추진할 계획이다.
