소개

현대사회에서 개발과 산업화는 필연적으로 다양한 환경문제를 야기하게 된다. 환경공학과는 환경오염에 대한 전반적인 이해 및 분석을 토대로 오염문제를 평가하고 방지하며 해결할 수 있는 실무능력을 갖춘 전문기술인의 양성에 주력하고 있다. 이를 위해 수질오염, 대기오염, 환경화학, 소음 진동 토양 등의 전문분야에 필요한 기초지식을 쌓도록 하며, 나아가 환경오염물질의 근본적인 처리법 및 오염방지를 다루는 폐수처리공학, 대기오염방지공학, 폐기물처리, 지하수학, 토양복원학, 악취관리 환경시스템공학 등의 필요한 응용학문을 강의한다.

Introduction

In modern society, development and industrialization inevitably result in a variety of environmental problems. The Department of Environmental Engineering focuses on fostering professional engineers with practical skills to evaluate, prevent and solve pollution problems based on their overall understanding and analysis of environmental pollution. To this end, the Environmental Engineering Department will build up the necessary basic knowledge in specialized fields such as water pollution, air pollution, environmental chemistry, noise vibration soil, etc. and further lecture on required application studies such as waste water treatment engineering, air pollution prevention engineering, waste treatment, soil restoration, and environmental system engineering that deals with fundamental treatment and prevention of pollution of environmental pollutants.

교육목표

수학, 물리, 화학, 생물등 공학의 기초교과목 교육을 강화하여 응용능력의 기초를 튼튼히 하며 환경공정개발 및 공업적 규모의 장치설계와 조작을 할 수 있고 환경공학의 기본원리를 연관 산업에 응용할 수 있는 창의력과 현장적용능력을 갖춘 사회적 공익에 기여할 수 있는 우수한 환경공학 전문기술자를 양성하고자 한다.

educational objectives

We intend to strengthen education of basic subjects of engineering such as mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology to strengthen the foundation of application ability, develop environmental process development, design and operation of industrial-scale devices, and cultivate excellent environmental engineering professionals who can contribute to social public interest with creativity and field application ability to apply basic principles of environmental engineering to related industries.

주로 대학원에 진학하여 학자가 되거나 엔지니어링 및 컨설팅업체, 환경오염방지시설업체, 건설회사, 공기업, 환경공무원, 환경관리인, 환경오염측정대행업체, 연구소 및 학교, 환경 민간업체, NGO등 일반기업체로 진출할 수도 있다.
