◈ Job Description
The Department of English Language & Literature in the College of Humanities at Kunsan National University invites applicants for a non-tenure track teaching position. We're looking forward to having a talented and enthusiastic professor who will actively and passionately lead students in advancing their knowledge of English and English language teaching practice.
◈ Teaching Courses
2020 2nd semester: Practical English Conversation II (3 hours), Intermediate English Conversation (3 hours), English Composition (3 hours), Studies in Spoken English (3 hours)
2021 1st semester: Practical English Conversation I (3 hours), English Conversation (3 hours), Debating & Presentation in English (3 hours), Research Methods of English & American Literature (3 hours)
(*courses may be subject to change.)
◈ Required Qualifications (E-1 Visa required)
Candidates should have 4 years of teaching experience at college or university levels with B.A. or 2 years of teaching experience with M.A. or Ph.D. in English, Education, or related fields (those with experience teaching English to Asian students will be preferable).
Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and research; an ability to collaborate with the faculty and staff members; and a commitment to supervising and advising students.
Candidates who were born prior to September 2nd, 1955 are not eligible to apply according to State Public Officials Act.
◈ Working Conditions, Salary, and Benefits
The successful candidate should teach 12 hours a week for a semester. (overtime teaching hours a week are paid.)
The successful candidate will be paid based on the Regulations of National University and the Regulations of Kunsan National University. The newly appointed visiting professor is paid at the level of a pay step-9 (KRW 2,143,120/month). (Every year, the pay step raises by 1 and the salary also raises as the pay step does.)
The university will support on-campus housing and provide national health insurance & national pension plan. The equivalent of 1 month’s pay/year as severance will be paid upon the end of employment with KSNU.

2. 임용자격
◦ 「대학교원 자격기준 등에 관한 규정」 제2조에 의한 조교수 이상의 자격이 있는 자
◦ 본 대학교에서 교육 또는 연구 활동에 종사할 수 있는 e-1(교수) 비자 취득이 가능하며 이중 국적이 아닌 자
◦ 임용예정일 기준 만 65세 미만인 자(1955. 9. 2. 이후 출생자)
◦ 「국가공무원법」 제33조에서 정한 결격사유에 해당하지 않는 자
3. 근무조건
가. 객원교수의 주당 책임시간은 12시간으로 하며 실제 강의 시간을 기준으로 함. 단, 담당시간이 12학점을 초과하는 경우 초과강의료를 지급할 수 있음
※ 초과강의료는 「군산대학교 수업운영 지침」의 강의료 지급기준을 적용하며, 책임시간을 미달하는 경우에는 아래 기준에 의거 감액하여 지급
- 월정액×(실제 강의시간 / 주당 책임시간)
나. 보수지급액: 「국립대학의 회계 설치 및 재정 운영에 관한 법률」 등을 준용하여 결정. 다만, 초임보수는 9호봉(2,143,120원)*으로 획정함
* 군산대학교 객원교수에 관한 업무처리지침 <별표1>에 따름
다. 복무·처우 등에 관한 사항은 「군산대학교 객원교수에 관한 업무처리지침」을 따름
라. 학과 사정에 의해 강의 과목이 변경될 경우 계약 변경이 있을 수 있음

8. 기타사항
