Student Exchange Program

◦ Description : A program which, in accordance with the agreement with an international sister university, invites exchange students for a semester or full year, where they can receive credits for Korean language and major courses recognized by the sister university
◦ Advantages : As an enrolled student of a sister university, acquire knowledge in one's field of study from KNU faculty, and grow an international mindset by experiencing Korean language and culture
◦ Participants : An enrolled student of a university with an agreement of student exchange with KNU

③ Tuition payment
- Freshman: Tuition is paid to the sister university and courses are taken in the sister university
- Sophomore: Tuition is paid to the sister university and courses are taken in KNU
(Tuition in KNU is waived; boarding/books/expenses are to be paid by the student)
- Junior, Senior: Tuition is paid to KNU, after transferring to KNU as a junior student (boarding/books/expenses are to be paid by the student)

- Senior: Tuition is paid to the sister university and courses are taken in KNU (Tuition in KNU is waived; boarding/ books/expenses are paid by the student)
- 1st and 2nd year in graduate school: Tuition is paid to KNU, after entering KNU's graduate school (Tuition in KNU is waived; boarding/books/expenses are paid bythe student)

April-May October- November Documents for Admission - All documents including Photo, Certificate of Enrollment , Transcript...etc. should be prepared in advance (both an original copies and pdf files) - Please see attachments “Application Manual” and find “Required documents” and make sure to prepare documents.
By Jun 30(Fri) December Admission Procedure - Submitting an application and uploading required documents can be done online.
- Eligible to apply: Students who have finished at least 2 semester at Sister university and are able to issue a Transcript and a Certificate of Enrollment.

- After submitting online, documents should be sent by a post by July 15
July 7(Fri) Dec-Jan Announcement for admitted students - Results will be sent to a Coordinator of Exchange Program at Sister university by an email.
July 20(Thu) Mid-January Issue a Certificate of Admission - A Certificate of Admission will be sent from KNU to Sister university University by Post and email.
July 20(Thu)~July 28(Fri) Mid-January Apply for a Visa - To apply for a Student Visa, bring a Certificate Admission issued by KNU with other required documents to an Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia Apply a Student Visa,
By Aug 15(Fri) Mid-January Receive a Visa - Visit an Embassy to receive an issued Visa.
Aug 30(Wed) February Arrive in Korea and enter the dormitory - Students will be assigned to a roommates of the same gender (1 room for 2 people) - KNU to the Incheon Airport
- Dormitory Fee : About 1,000,000KRW(3 meals included)
※ Notice: Religious food will not be provided by the KNU Residence Halls.
- Apply for Insurance

Aug 31(Thu) February Orientation - Introduce about studying at KNU and living in Korea - Course Registration: Required courses and Korean Language courses For example, Understanding of Korean (3 credits) : For students who just arrived in Korea. Lecture will be given in English Practical English Conversation: For students those who want to improve their speaking skills. Lecture will be given in English - Korean Language Course
