All foreign students should be covered by National Helath Insurance, a public insurance in Korea.

Foreign students will be automatically covered by NHI immediately after the completion of alien registration. Until the end of study in Korea, student should pay monthly contribution to NHI and, if not, visa extension is not possible. Insurance fee can be increased year by year. (At present, KRW70,000 to KRW140,000 per month)
