- 우리 환경공학과 홈페이지를 방문해주셔서 정말 감사합니다.
- 우리나라는 지난 수십년 동안 엄청난 경제적, 산업적 발전을 경험했습니다. 이제는 세계 모든 나라가 우리나라를 선진국이라 말하고 있습니다. 그러나 그에 따라 환경오염이라는 심각한 대가를 치루고 있습니다.
- 삶의 질을 논함에 있어 환경은 빼놓을 수 없는 요인이 되었습니다. 현재 우리 인류는 기후변화라는 엄청난 도전에 직면해 있고 전 세계는 기후문제 해결을 위하여 엄청난 투자를 하고 있습니다. 빠르게 발전하고 있는 전기자동차, 수소에너지, 자율주행 산업들도 사실은 기후변화라는 환경문제에서 비롯된 것입니다.
- 즉, 환경공학은 바로 미래산업발전의 견인차 역할을 하는 중요한 학문분야이라고 할 수 있습니다.
- 우리 국립군산대학교 환경공학과에는 9분의 전임교수와 1인의 전문경력인사가 재직하고 있습니다. 우리나라 환경공학과 중에서 규모가 가장 큰 대학 중의 하나이기도 합니다. 이 때문에 학과에서는 매우 다양한 환경공학분야의 전공을 접할 수 있고, 바로 그러한 이유로 졸업생들은 환경분야 국가직 및 지방직 공무원과 국립환경과학원, 보건환경연구원, 국립농업과학원, 국립수산과학원과 같은 연구기관과 국가투자기관인 환경관리공단, 국립공원관리공단, 한국수자원공사, 한국농어촌공사 등 다양한 기관과 환경컨설팅 및 환경관리 업체 등에 진출하여 우리나라 환경발전을 위해 노력하고 있습니다.
- 우리 학과는 2006년 우수대학원 육성사업인 토목환경공학분야 BK21사업을 당시의 지방대학으로는 유일하게 전국단위 사업팀으로 선정되었고, 지금까지도 계속하여 BK21사업을 수행해오고 있습니다.
- 우리 학과는 또한 마이크로디그리(Micro-Degree)과정이라는 제도를 통하여 반도체, 자동차, 제철 산업 등 특정 산업분야의 환경관리에 특화된 전문인력을 양성할 수 있는 소규모 학위과정을 통하여 졸업생들의 관련분야 진출을 지원하는 프로그램도 기획 중에 있습니다.
- 우리 국립군산대학교 환경공학과의 가장 큰 자랑은 책임지도교수제도입니다. 이는 학생들이 입학해서부터 졸업 시까지 같은 지도교수가 재학생들의 대학생활, 학업, 진로문제를 맨투맨으로 상담해주는 제도입니다. 이 때문에 우리 학과는 매우 친밀한 교수와 학생관계, 선후배 관계가 형성되어 있는 최고의 환경공학과라고 자부합니다.

- Welcome and thank you for visiting our web-pages!
Our country, Korea has experienced drastic industrial changes and achieved a phenomenal economical success during the last several decades. Everybody in the world does not doubt that Korea is now one of the advanced countries. But we are paying for it because of the serious environmental pollutions that accompanied with it. Comfortable environment becomes the critical factor to be considered for better living.
- We are facing an environmental challenge, so-called “the climate change”, which we don’t yet see. All the countries in the world are spending enormous budgets to mitigate that problem. See rapidly growing high-tech industries such as electric vehicle, hydrogen energy, autonomous driving are mostly linked with the climate change problem.
- Environmental Engineering is one of the key driving forces for the future industrial reformations.
- Currently, 9 full-time professors and 1 adjuct professor are working for our department. Our department is one of the biggest ones in the faculty size in Korea and, thus, offer a various kinds of environmental courses to the students. Because of this reason, the students are now working in various companies and institutions after graduation for environmental protection, restoration, and managements.
- The graduate program of our department offers master and doctoral degrees was selected as one of the Brain Korea 21 (BK21) Program grantees in civil and environmental area. The BK21 is the program financially supporting excellent graduate programs and our graduate program was first selected in 2006 by the Ministry of Education and has been receiving the grant for three consecutive terms since then.
- Our department is currently planning to develop Micro-Degree programs to foster students specialized to specific industrial fields such as semi-conductor, automobile, and steel industries and to help them finding jobs in various industrial sectors.
- Another program that we are proud to show is the Academic Advisor Program for the undergraduate students. Department professors will be assigned as the academic advisor to each student and will give man-to-man guidances in studying, campus life, job hunting to the students till their graduation. Because of this reason, students in our department have close relationships with professors and colleagues and study in friendly environment.
